You have to go back to those crazy years of the late 50s and early 60s from Caddy Tailfins and "The King" on to
the "Fab Four" and the British invasion, to see the explosion in the guitar market. Manufactures of every make and
description came up with instruments of every type and description in an attempt to fill the need. Some interesting designs
were dreamed up some good, some great, and truthfully some really bad! Many of these guitars from all over the world made
for some really cool looking stuff especially now as we look back and see that for the most part it has become a world of
copies of the front running designs that emerged from the era. I personally have always been a big fan of the old Hagstroms
(Sweden), Teiscos (Japan) and of course the Valco series Supro, National and the like (USA), what many of these instruments
lacked in execution they made up for in raw visual appeal.
The Italia series of guitars and basses distill the essence of that golden age.
Designed in England by Trevor Wilkinson Italia Guitars offer a wide variety of styles - both in Guitars and Bass - that
take us back to the years of real innovation in the music industry. Using revolutionary Pearl & Sparkle materials with
new application techniques, Italia's have all the Retro looks of the most outrageous '60's designs combined with 21st Century
build & sound quality.
Italia guitars feature Wilkinson-designed hardware & pickups making them play and sound as good as they look
